Construction and Parking Maps

After much discussion, we have decided not to open the parking spaces within the construction fencing on Sundays or over the weekend. Unfortunately, we have had people walking through the construction area and even climbing on top of the HVAC units near the Rumple House to get to Main Street. This has created both safety and liability concerns, so for everyone’s safety, the construction area will remain closed.

We have also added directional signs throughout the parking lot to help you find your way to the Sanctuary, Gathering Space, Frescoes, and other areas of campus. We will continue to add signs as needed to make navigating our campus a little easier during construction.

Week of October 5 update:

The sidewalk from the corner of the Sanctuary to the parking lot has been removed, and the new sidewalk area has been prepared and is ready for concrete. The ramp and landing at the Rumple House have been removed, and that area has also been prepared for the new ramp and steps. Meanwhile, dirt has been removed from the area where our new building will soon take shape!

Inside the Cannon Education Building, the ceiling tiles on the fifth floor will be completed this week. New doors will be installed, and trim work will resume. Over at Keys Chapel, one side now has all-new siding and a fresh coat of paint. There is definitely a lot happening around campus!

Our parking lots are staying busy, and we know construction can make getting around campus a little more challenging. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to visit us and access our buildings.

If you need to drop something off at the Rumple House or need to get into the Education Building, please call the church office. We can meet you at Main Street or walk over to the Education Building and let you in. Please don’t hesitate to call—we are happy to help!

If you are coming to campus Monday through Friday, parking will be available in the middle, mostly gravel, lot. Please enter from Wallingford Street and exit onto Ginny Stevens Lane. The employee parking signs have been moved to this lot. As always, you are welcome to park in these spaces if you are on campus for a meeting, gathering, or other church activity.

Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we continue this exciting work. We know there are a few inconveniences along the way, but it is wonderful to see the progress happening all around our campus!
