Kirkin’ of the Tartans

Rumple’s first Kirkin’ of the Tartans will be Sunday, October 27. Rumple will celebrate Reformation Sunday with a modified Kirkin’ of the Tartans service during 11:00 worship. Be sure to watch the excellent video below, created by Cliff Wiggins, which explains the history of this special service. If you have a tartan tie, scarf, skirt or a kilt, please plan to wear it that morning. We will have a bagpiper and hear the Scripture read in both English and Gaelic. We will have a few clan flags present in the sanctuary, as well as a tartan parament on the pulpit and a banner. Plan to remain after worship for tea and shortbread cookies, hosted by the Fellowship Committee.
