Event Date

July 26, 2023 – July 26, 2023

Event Time

Mark your calendars to join us on July 26 for dinner and discussion of an extraordinary documentary film Sabbath. The film is a collection of vignettes exploring the Sabbath – its history and how different groups celebrate the Sabbath. You can watch this free film, at your leisure in your home, before the July 26th discussion. You can view the film online at this link, and please note that you’ll be asked to sign in with your name and email.

On July 26th, gather in the Fellowship Hall at 5:30 for dinner and 6:30 for discussion. If you can’t join us for dinner, you’re welcome to come for the discussion. Childcare will be provided (Preschool- 5th grade).

Kathy Beach will facilitate the discussion along with Dr. Norman Wirzba (via zoom). He is the Gilbert T. Rowe Professor of Christian Theology at Duke Divinity School and Senior Fellow at the Kenan Institute for Ethics at Duke University. Dr. Wirzba is a film participant and a past Visiting Scholar at Rumple.

Please RSVP by July 23 by visiting this Breeze form, or contact the church office.
