Dinner and a Movie

Event Date

November 29, 2023

Event Time

5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Rumple’s Creation Care committee invites you to join us in Rumple’s Fellowship Hall for a chili dinner, a movie, and a discussion of climate change and resilience from the coast to the mountains of North Carolina.

We will eat dinner while watching the PBS North Carolina documentary State of Change, which lasts an hour. Then we will discuss the issues raised in the documentary with a guest panel of local conservation experts.

Guest panelists
Jesse Pope, President and Executive Director, Grandfather Mountain Stewardship Foundation
Charlie Brady, Executive Director, Blue Ridge Conservancy

We will provide a chili dinner from FARM Cafe and need to give them a count on November 17. Please register before that if possible, but we’ll order extra for later registrations.

Please note: this documentary is suitable for all ages but is best for high school ages and up.

If you need to arrive late, please indicate on the registration form that you would like us to send you a link to watch the documentary online. We anticipate the discussion will start around 6:40 p.m. Register here.
