Kate Mosley
Temporary Parish Associate Pastor for Youth
Rev. Kate McGregor Mosley has been worshipping at Rumple since summer 2024 along with her family. She recently transferred her membership to Salem Presbytery from Presbytery of Greater Atlanta where she has been engaged in ordained ministry since 2006. As a nonprofit executive for the past thirty years and a graduate of Columbia Theological Seminary, Kate served Central Presbyterian Church – Atlanta, then led the presbytery’s creation care ministry for over ten years while also directing a statewide interfaith environmental organization in Georgia. With her love of travel and adventure, she launched Soul Ventures International in 2021 with another clergy friend to offer retreat experiences for women of faith that create space to reconnect with themselves, one another, and creation. Married to Larry Mosley, together they have a son in college at University of Georgia and two teens at Watauga High – Janie Kate & Walker, both active Rumple youth. Kate relocated to Boone with her family in summer 2024 for a new adventure in the High Country and to be close to extended family in Greensboro. What she loves most about ministry is the opportunity to be present with others during times of joy and challenge, witnessing to one another’s strengths and vulnerabilities as we seek to be faithful disciples together. She looks forward to hearing your ideas about how youth ministry can be a vibrant and meaningful part of Rumple’s church life.
